Bavarian team champion for the ladies and the bronze medal for the men. A top organized and executed

Thanks to the referees, it was certainly not an easy challenge for the game management to carry out all the rules so well and professionally in this time. The game likes to quickly forget a pandemic and that is perhaps why it is so valuable for the moment. The teams of the Golf Valley - Golfclub München Valley were able to qualify again for the final of the ladies in the counting game after a good performance in the ladies with the Münchener Golfclub e.V. - Strasslach.

The ladies of GC Valley entered the championships without their regular players Sarina Schmidt, Verena Gimmy, Maria Anetseder and Nina Lang. They convinced with the young ladies of the team. AK 18 player Theresa Bodensteiner could show herself and made her first ladies team experience.

In the final Sonya Knebel could not hold her early lead with 3on due to injury and lost to Agnes Fischer 2dn. Selina Weiher dominated the brave Annabelle Sappa and finished the match after 12 holes with an incredible 7up for Valley. The experienced Valley player Ramona Zauner won her match against the always cheerful Sophia Ratberger. Emilie Stinn lost her opening match against MGC veteran and a strong playing Vicky Tröltsch. The 18 year old European Team Champion Chiara Horder, who after an intensive training week in the women's national team on Mallorca went directly and without practice round on the first tee won against MGC AK18 player Antonia Alefeld with 3 on 2. Lilian Klug competed against the top newcomer of the Munich Golf Club from GC Frankfurt and the reigning German Champion, Marie Cors. Lilian Klug won against Marie with 1up after the 18th hole.

Despite brilliant and hardly transparent substitution tactics on the part of the Munich Golf Club e.V., the GC Munich Valley GolfValley won sovereign with 4 out of 6 matches and thus again and in succession the title of Bavarian Team Champion Ladies.

The 1st Golf Club Fürth e.V. came third and the ladies of the Golfclub Olching e.V. participated.

A special thanks goes to captain-coach Verena T. Gimmy and new-golf-teacher-assistant Constantin Schwierz as well as captain Kathrin Pegau, who perfectly coached and supported the team Valley.

The men's team competed without their regular players Eric Dörrenberg, Nico Horder, Raphael Geissler, Nico Borrmann, Vitek Novak due to their studies. Therefore, the men of GC Valley used the tournament as a first test from a healthy mix of very young and very experienced.

Valley entered with the two 15-year-old perspective team players Justus Lück and Ben Kelling, as well as Lorenzo Laböck, Niclas Gimmy, regular players Laurenz Baumgart and Florian Horder, the two Playing Captains Tarek Baraka and Christian Apelt.

In the counting game qualification Laurenz Baumgart played a good 3 under par round, but this was not enough for a team score and the final participation. In the small final for 3rd place, the men, despite no chance of winning, were able to motivate themselves again top and convinced against the GC Herzogenaurach.

The captain of the Valley team, Tarek Baraka, fell behind slightly after the start and then turned the match around to win with 2 up against Lukas Kemplinger. Florian Horder won against Julius Appel confidently 4auf2 and got the 2nd important point for Valley.

The 15 year old Ben Kelling performed great and was even par at the time of his match loss against the strong playing Marek Smolich with 3 holes to go. Not without reason a Future Team Player at GC Valley.

Just like co-captain Christian Apelt against Marco Dietrich, regular player Laurenz Baumgart against Felix Swoboda ended his match already after the 12th hole with 7on6.

BGV youth squad player Justus Lück played excellent golf against Lukas Lampe. But after it was known that there was no chance for GC Herzogenaurach to win, we gave his match to the opponent out of fairness.

The Valley men thus won 4:2 and may call themselves winners of the small final.

Special thanks go to Niclas Gim who, as a top player, supported 15-year-old Ben Kelling in his first match by not playing. More team spirit is not possible!

We congratulate the BMM winners of the Münchener Golf Club e.V. and thank all participants for fair matches.

A great success and a nice team result for the only 12 years old sportive family Golf Club München-Valley.

Hoping for a 2021 season to take place, this was a first and very successful start for GC GolfValley. The result lets us look forward with joy.
