So, quite surprisingly, I got an important golf lesson myself
I was very surprised at first when these two new "students" stood in front of me and said that it was not I who was going to teach them, but they who were going to teach me today. Still dumbfounded, I replied: "My back is tweaking, but then we'll get Jens Messerschmidt, our physio, to join us". On the way to the indoor hall, Prof. Chia Chou explained that he was neither a golf instructor nor a golfer, but as a professional pianist and music professor, he had figured out how to improve movements like gold swings easily and quickly. He said I should just show him what I wanted to optimize about Jens' tee shot. So I showed him how Jens should turn his hips more. And then I was amazed: Chia said a sound that Jens only had to think during his swing. Wow, I've experienced a thing or two before, but lo and behold, after a few pronunciation and timing corrections, I could clearly see how Jens' hip rotation improved significantly. The sound led to the desired movement, without conscious effort.
